Wes Loper is an American singer-songwriter and performer originally from Mobile, Alabama, raised along the Gulf Coast where the beach music culture first shaped his sound. He began playing guitar in high school by watching local musicians and practicing on beach chairs as crowds came and went, eventually honing his craft in venues like the Flora-Bama Lounge and other Gulf Coast bars before expanding his live performances throughout the Southeast and beyond. 

Blending rock, country, blues, and folk, Loper’s style resonates with audiences through upbeat, crowd-friendly shows that often get everyone singing along. Over more than 4,000 live performances, he’s built a reputation as an engaging entertainer adaptable to solo, duo, trio, or full-band formats. 

Loper has released multiple albums since his debut Take Me Home in 2000, with subsequent projects featuring collaborations with Nashville songwriters and session players — including working with notable writers like Mac McAnally, Jimbeau Hinson, and Russell Smith on Keep On Growin’. 

In 2019 he and his wife spent nearly three years touring the U.S. with their children while homeschooling, bringing his music to audiences in over 35 states before continuing his touring and songwriting endeavors.
