Every family has that one relative who shows up, kicks off their shoes, and makes the whole room better just by walking in. Ours is named Billy.
Billy Claus is Santa’s younger brother, born with a snow allergy and a lifelong love of flip-flops, saltwater, and the fine art of chillaxin’. While Santa kept the North Pole running, Billy set off to find a home where he could stay awake all winter long. With a little help from Surfer the dolphin, he found his way to us, and a tropical Christmas tradition was born.
His story comes straight from Lucy Buffett’s 2012 children’s book, Billy Claus and the Spirit of Christmas Island. He’s been a beloved part of LuLu’s holidays for years, one chilled-out dude with a whole lot of positivity ‘tude, and this summer we’re giving him the spotlight he deserves.

Every year on July 25, all three LuLu’s locations (Gulf Shores, Destin, and North Myrtle Beach) celebrate Christmas in July with a whole new collection of fun Billy Claus merchandise and his very own specialty drink, the Billy Claus Blu-Lu.

Come dressed for sunshine. Bring the whole family. And save a little room in your beach bag, because you’re going to want to take some Billy home with you.
